Offering is a part of our daily worship that is often over looked. Special blessing has been reversed for those that choose to give freely and trust that God will be their provider. Jehovah Jireh is often a named quoted by many Bible believers. However this name was not known to Abraham, before he was willing to give up his only remaining son. In the process of obedience to God, Abraham discovered that God’s word could not be broken and what God says will surely come to pass. Abraham holding the knife to his own son discovered God’s willingness to provide what money could not buy. Abraham family name, inheritance and own heart where at risk but, God himself provided the offering sacrificed; “a ram caught in a thicket by its horns”. What an amazing God who provides all that we need and ask for. The question is do we believe he is truly able to be our provider. Giving to God is acting by faith knowing God will provide because He is true to His word.
